I believe that young people should have equal rights, and that young people should not be blamed for everything that goes wrong. My own interests are ju-jitsu, army cadets, cycling and relaxing with my friends. I would promote the good things that young people do, so that people see us more positively. I would work to get more cycle lanes to make cycling safer.
Steven Pogorzelec Age: 13
I believe that should be well organised and clean, that the environment and all living things should be looked after and treated with respect. I would like to promote the needs and ideas of young people to those in power. I would be organized, reliable and fair; I will listen to all opinions. I would like to represent young people and raise the positive image of them.
Kara Boulter Age: 15
I believe that child and animal abuse should be stopped. That young people should have more of a voice in what happens to them. That there should be more youth centres and if they are not in walking distance then free bus travel should be available. I would raise awareness of the above issues. I would keep everyone informed about projects and opportunities for young people to have their say, and make sure that those people that I was representing know how to contact me.
Michael Muir Age: 13
I believe in child and animal welfare and that they have a right to be looked after properly. I think that school should be a better place for pupils as well as staff. If I were elected I would look how classrooms, changing rooms and gym could be improved. I would like to see if lessons could be made more interactive and see if there was money to provide laptops so that where would less chance to forget homework and books. I would raise funds to help charities that promote child and animal welfare.
Andrew Chamberlain Age: 13
I believe that young people should have more access to the youth centre. They should have more lights so that you can play football. My interests are playing football and going to the youth centre chilling with my friends. I would like to see if the youth centre could be open more, I would want to speak to Councillors to see what can e done to get more facilities for young people. I would like to see football teams from each youth centre set up a league. Please vote for me.
